Melanoma Research at Mater Foundation

With your selfless support, vital melanoma research occurs at Mater Research, having a national and international impact. Funds are used to support dedicated teams of researchers at Mater Research, who are working on life-saving research into the causes, prevention and treatment of melanoma and other cancers. Queensland has long had the highest incidence of Melanoma per capita, worldwide and with highly committed teams and the current support of people like you, improving research outcomes will benefit a greater number of people in Queensland and Australia. At Mater Research in particular, Professor Brian Gabrielli is working tirelessly with his determined and skilful team, the Cell Cycle Research Group, tackling melanoma at the molecular level and investigating how to improve the effectiveness of immunotherapies. The goal is to develop effective treatments for the 50% of patients who don’t respond to the current standard of care. In order to ensure the research devoted to preventing and treating melanoma can continue to progress, Mater Research and patients like myself need your help. You can make an immediate impact to fund a range of life-changing projects for those suffering from melanoma.
